5 Things
Feel Better — And Understand why.

Feel Better — And make it stick.
Patients describe feeling better — both during their treatments and for days after. And people mention that experiencing positive changes echoing throughout their bodies is incredibly satisfying.
Similarly, I often hear people say in the first session, “I feel lighter, and longer. I can breathe more fully, and stand up straighter with less effort“. Upright is not uptight!

Your Body + Our Knowledge = A Better Informed you
Clients who work with us really engage in the process and quickly learn that feedback and asking questions is central to the process. People routinely say, “This is what I have always wanted from my massage therapists, physical therapists, and doctor visits.” Like any therapy, a single session can certainly achieve a level of relief — even dramatic relief — but to get a therapy to last often requires a planned sequence of sessions. Our classical “Ten-Series” is an ideal format for achieving three things: transformation, restoration and body knowledge. You will not only feel better. You will know how you got there and you will take that knowledge forward.
A client once said, “I notice as soon as I move out of balance, and how that leads to pain. Now I have new options for how to manage my pain as it comes up.”

Realizable Goals — for Real Life
As our work progresses we begin to address what you do on a daily basis with direct interventions both while you are on the table, and with practical considerations while at work, exercising, sleeping, walking your dog — whatever it is you do with your life. Our work is practical, and our goal is to give you a world-class experience on the table that can easily translate into your day-to-day.
We will come up with realizable goals with clear landmarks of how to establish new patterns of posture and movement, whether we focus on how you sit at your desk, your form doing bench presses or squats, different running styles, or your yoga practice. For athletes we offer planned recuperation sessions and we even have a few truck drivers who come in for a monthly reset.

Surface Stress, Deep Stress and Mobility. What’s impacting you?
Whether we are addressing chronic surface stresses or deeply-held stresses our clients find the work we do restorative and incredibly relaxing. When working to address and transform deeply held stresses and imbalances, will explore sensation and experience the difference between pain that is leaving, and pain that is held within the body. Together we work to find the balance of what serves you and your situation.
Part of our job is to develop a working knowledge of your anatomy and physiology so we can work appropriately. Some of your most deeply held stresses may reside right on the surface and other times they may have settled very deep in the body. When a part of the body has been immobile or out of balance for a long time, the fluids that normally flow freely also lose mobility resulting in lost sensation.
With proper treatment you can return to activities you enjoy and remove limitations you’ve chalked up to aging, or something a doctor told you was something you had to accept.

A “Total Systems Approach”
We are available and qualified to discuss nutrition, exercise, relaxation, mindfulness, yoga, weight-lifting, stretching, physical therapy, acupuncture, and other forms of therapy. We also bring the latest research to our practice. For many clients, we act as a wellness coordinator – armed with a team of highly trained physicians and specialists who are available to you. I want to help you to thrive and reach your goals, whether it is to be able to go through a week without that frustrating pain, to release and manage everyday life stresses or to maximize your performance. We can help you incorporate the wellness facets that best serve you in your unique life.
